Newly installed turf thinning out. Help!

Hi all,

We've recently had our garden renovated and had new turf laid 4 days ago. The grass it being watered daily for a minimum of 30-40 minutes in the morning.

The turf was fully green when it was installed however, it does seem to be thinning quite fast.

Apologies if this is an obvious answer (completely new to lawn care)

More water , lots more. On the edge with the border pile up soil against the edge of new turfs to stop them drying out so quickly.

    30 or 40 minutes really isn't enough.
If you use the search option at the top of the page @Lycans - you'll find many threads about grass and watering it   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I agree, more water and make sure the sprinkler is covering the edges well.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
