    It's arrived, love it!

    There's a bamboo cane up the centre, I have a tree stake to put it. So remove the bamboo cane?

    Remove the cane and stake at 45' about a 1/3 of the way up the trunk, unless it will be sheltered from strong winds. I've not bothered staking trees in sheltered areas and they are still standing after 2 years.

    I'm going to stake it, eventhough there's a fence to protect it, the prevailing wind does whisp through our garden.

    It is a nice tree. I hope to plant one myself this autumn.

    Done, grounds very dry so will have to keep it well watered. I think some of the surrounding trees are sucking it up!
    Plenty of organic matter went in and mulched on top.
