Is there something wrong with this fuchsia ?

The leaves look crinkled. Something to worry about or not? I can’t see any bugs in it.

    Lack of water?
    The pot looks as if it could do with more compost. I would want the soil level to be about half an inch or so from the top. If it was mine, i would lift the plant, add more compost to the bottom and replace the plant.

    I agree. There can't be much soil in there. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Looks like the beginnings of rust,  I would take it out of the pot,  cut all the affected stalks off,  make sure no weeds ever grow in its pot and plant it in fresh compost in a different pot, not a black one.  Fuchsias like cool roots,  black pots get too hot.
    You may save it,  but if it still grows though with brown on the leaves it may be better to bin it,  in the dustbin, not the compost heap.

    My fuchsias are all in borders but a few years ago the new growth looked like yours…it was an outbreak of Fuchsia gall mite.

    It wouldn't hurt to weed out the other things that are growing in there, before they get any bigger. They won't be affecting the fuchsia at this stage but they'll be taking more moisture and nutrients as they grow.

    It does have the look of the start of gall mite.

    Thanks all. I’m hoping it’s not gall mite so have kept it away from the other fuchsias. I think this is a stem cutting that’s grown. No way of treating gallmites I guess. I’ll give it more soil and take the other growth away from it and see how it goes.

     Interesting point about not using black pots too. I’ve noticed my fuchsia are thirsty little plants that don’t mind a lot of water.
