Why is my Fatsia dying suddenly
Hi. I have had this Fatsia Japonica for a year growing in a pot in a shaded location. It has not been looking happy last few months and now looks like it's dying. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I water it when it has not rained or the soil looks dry. What can I do to save it?

The foliage prevents water getting in, because of it's size and it's waxy nature, so even in heavy rainfall, in a pot, most of it will shed off into the surroundings rather than getting into the plant roots. That isn't the case when in the ground.

They'll still recover no problem
