Egg in pots 🤔

Morning all I've finally braved splitting up my grandads canna lilies and it's going ok but in one pot I've found an entire chicken egg! Is this a trick he knew about to help the lilies grow? It seems a bit random to me and without him here to ask I thought I'd turn to you lovely people ☺️

Cheers Claire

Apparently foxes steal and bury eggs.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Yes, a fox will have buried it to come back later for it ... 🦊

You have stumbled on Mr.🦊's cache.

Unlike squirrels, they remember where they put them.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • 🤣 love this! Thank you all, it looks pretty old so I wander if some poor fox at grandads house stashed it there then when he went back to it found it had gone to our house 😂 bet he was hungry that night poor thing
