@Messynessy here is how it looks in may and how the grass is in June. This year is a write off though as we have scaffolding up and everything is trampled
Hmm I guess you’re right. They are so beautiful though. I might try on an edge that doesn’t get walked on and see how it goes. I bought a couple of bags from wilko last autumn and they’ve come up brilliantly. For only a couple of pound, I think I’ll give it a go.
@Jellyfire that looks absolutely amazing — what a lovely house and garden, just idyllic! Do you keep adding tulips each year?
@didyw, the tickets sell out very quickly. Having missed out last year, this time I must admit I set an alarm while away on holiday to buy tickets the moment they started selling online.
@Messynessy, it would be lovely to see the results, keep us posted.
Here are a few more photos from me, in the 'fiery red' category.
Thank you @Athelas, we’re just having a new thatch done, not quite so lovely for the bank account though Yes I just add a few which are meant to be reliably perennial each year, i just lift up a square foot of turf and throw them in. Ballerina, amiable bleu and shogun mainly as they have always been good at returning for me

Here are a few final photos from Tulips for Tapping — looking forward to the next one in 2023.
