Ornamental grasses

Hi .I Recently bought about 7 nice mature ornamental grasses from a well known garden shop.
some of them in the shop had browning which starts from the tip of the leaves now the ones I bought have the same problem and will likely start to look quite tatty soon .
I wondered if this could have been caused by if the shop staff watering the leaves on a hot day?

since getting them they have been tidied up a bit and watered a few times but not overwatered. some of them like ’’lomandra  white sands “ would probably do better with minimal watering ?

Strictly it is not a grass, but grows from a rhizome. I am unaware of any particular care requirements.
