My little orchid has produced a baby - what do I do with it?

My lovely little orchid flowered for 9 months.
I cut back one of the flowering stems as advised by a forum member and I was hoping for a new flower shoot.
Instead a baby orchid has started growing.
I'd like to save it - any advice as to what I should do?

I think it's a moth orchid - this is it in flower-

    Let the baby grow out roots, then cut it off and plant into bark into a clear pot.  Do a search for 'orchid keiki'.

    Agree with @Blue Onion - a similar method to propagating Dendrobium species.

    Thanks @Uff I've been thrilled with it - it flowered for 9 months then the baby popped-up. Great value for £10

    I can see a tiny root forming.
    How long should the roots get before I chop it off and plant it?

    At least 2-3 inches long.  'Baby' the baby more than you do the adult, until the roots are well established in the bark mix.
