Ornamental cherry branches dying after flowering

Hi everyone! I wonder if anyone could give me some advice about my young ornamental cherry please. It has blossomed beautifully and shortly after flowering some branched look like they've died. Does anyone know what may have caused this? Thank you 😊

    It's normal for the flowers to die quite quickly - they're not long-lasting. Have the leaves/leaf buds on that branch died as well as the flowers? I can see green leaves but I'm not sure if they're on something else behind the cherry. If so, can you trace back along the dead branch down to where it's still got healthy leaves, and see if there's any damage to the bark?
