Lemon 🍋 tree

Hi everyone, when do you know it’s the best time to repot. I have 2 lemons tree they’ve been growing a little bit in winter but not a lot. They’ll be 1 year old second of may. Is the pot good for another year or should I transplant them in a deeper pot since they’re trees? Thank you :)

    Assuming your plant is in a pot with drainage holes and which lives inside the white pot, you will see roots poking out of the bottom and that is the signal to pot on a size.

    If not, transfer it to a pot with holes so it doesn't get waterlogged.   Feed it a high nitrogen (N) feed this spring and summer to encourage healthy foliage.   When it's older, it will need a feed higher in phosphorus and potassium (P & K) thru autumn and winter to encourage flowers and fruiting.

    Hi Nanny, it does have holes. I give them a good soak every week depends on the temperatures in winter here (Canada ) the appartement get really dry so I water them often and bring them in my bathroom when I shower lol  for the humidity. In spring I water less but they seems in really good shape.

    Canada doesn't really have the ideal climate for Citrus trees.  If you plan to keep them as houseplants, you will eventually need rather large containers.  Indoors, they aren't too happy with a dry atmosphere either.
