Rhododendron worth saving?

    In your close up photo there looks like some buds on those two stems - or am I just  being optimistic?!  If you've done the bark scraping test that @AnniD suggested and there's some green tissue beneath, there may be hope!  If not, don't waste time and compost repotting - I think it's destiny is the green bin!

    @Plantminded yes, did the bark scraping test, no green tissue beneath. I pruned some of the branches too and no sign of life.  :(

    @Welshwindyhills I too don't like giving up on plants. Hence why I asked for the advice. Reading everyones advice, it looks like it's one for the green bin. Don't think it's one plant for my garden. I don't have the space for another one unless it's for a pot.
