As Blondie is wanting a medium for seeding, I recommend trying a seed compost - it's finer with less nutrients as they are not needed.

As Blondie is wanting a medium for seeding, I recommend trying a seed compost - it's finer with less nutrients as they are not needed.
Quality control is erratic with lots of compost brands - peat-free or not. I also have Melcourt to be good. And Horizon peat-free.
