Good evening all.
Previously the Gardeners Boy. Been away, made a few big life changes. and a new start in life.
And as a result my only plants at the moment are David and Goliath my new Yucca Palms. 
The changes mean I no longer have any garden or allotment's just indoor space that I intend to green up over time.
So any advice on easy to care for tropical looking plants that don't mind being left alone for weeks at a time as I travel will be gratefully received as always.
 
If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.

    I know it varies for people, but i had great success with birds of paradise as a low maintenance plant. I keep them in self watering pots, so when they're watered , they're watered really strong and have some water left on the bottom. And then seem to be fine to not be watered for weeks. It does however go against any instructions i found for them online ))

    Cast Iron Plant can get big and leafy with time. I have these my darkest corners. They need very little light if any at all. Need to completely dry out between watering, too.

    My big peace Lilly died in the office over the first lockdown which lasted months.
    my succulents and money tree can survive half a year or more without water and little light. The money tree is pretty big now.

    My daughter left her kalanchoe for a year while living abroad. Bounced back after she returned home!

    Good to know @Ergates. I must be doing something wrong when I can’t get it through the winter.

    Aeoniums. They go weeks without water, especially in winter.

    You can grow quite a few houseplants with their roots submerged in water. Peace lillies are very easy with this method, as are Pothos and even monstera. I've got all three growing out of a fish tank but my brother has the same mix in just normal pots of water which get topped up occassionally.

    The ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) can happily go without water for long stretches.  It's the least demanding of my few houseplants.  According to this GW article, it is "virtually impossible to kill" Now, there's a challenge!

    Sanseveria (apparently now reclassified as a dracaena) will also go weeks without watering and is happiest on the dry side.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Thank you everyone I will certainly look into all of your suggestions and it is encouraging to know that some of these seem virtually indestructible.
