Leggy lettuce

So ive had these in an unheated propagator and theyve germinated but do these look leggy already? Should i be putting them under my growlights and sit them about 8 or 9 inches away from them? I thought Lettuce was meant to be easy to do...!?!

Do you not have a windowsill?
Thats where mine were before they went out into the garden under a cloche last week.
Those are much too etiolated … I’d scrap them and start again … on a windowsill. 😊

So propagator to crack the seeds or windowsill from germinating to pricking out?

Just a windowsill - start to finish from germination to pricking out, then outside, depending on your conditions. At this time of year they can be outside once they're small plants, to grow on. I've had some lettuce outside for a while - even through frosts. They're quite hardy plants  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
