Olive tree

Any advice why our Olive tree is losing leaves on one side only? One side is full of foliage but the other side is losing a lot of leaves and does not looks as full in comparison (although the remaining leaves still look healthy and there is new growth). It’s been like this for a couple of years now. It is in the ground and not in a pot. Any tips and advice would be most welcome!

    Hi @LK:-)

It certainly looks healthy.  It certainly looks lop sided too!!  So.  I suggest when you prune next ....  in February or March or April 2023, I would even it up and give it a nice even aspect.  You could lop off some of the inner branches which will give the tree some breathing space.  Like this:
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Is one side more shaded than the other?
How can you lie there and think of England

@punkdoc It’s in the middle of the garden with plenty of light (no shade). The garden is south facing - the side losing the leaves faces east. The leaves seem to be coming off in the middle of the tree with lots of new growth on the outside.
