Identify?

Hi all,

I wonder if anybody could help me identify these two plants - apologies in advance, I know one (the green shoots) does not give much to go by at all!

    1.  Convallaria majalis....common name Lily of the valley.
    2. Lamium galeobdolon.... commonly known as yellow archangel,

    The second pic is yellow archangel or dead nettle. A pretty wildflower. 
    SW SCOTLAND but born in Derbyshire

    Yes.

    Yellow archangel is actually a Schedule 9 species, as it's invasive- it's an offence to plant or otherwise cause this species to grow in the wild. So be super careful to dispose of it correctly if you're weeding it!

    The Convallaria will spread too  :)
    Much further on than mine - you can see the buds quite clearly. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
