    Thanks again everyone. Yes next time I'll definitely buy seed compost for sowing. I did manage to germinate my pak choi seeds with this compost......

    Seed compost isn't really necessary at this time of year unless you can't get any decent multi purpose.  It's more important when autumn sowing, when you don't want excess growth over winter which becomes weak and etiolated.    :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
