Help identifying plant type 2 nd photo

    @ekwhatever What type of soil was it growing in  wondered if it could be a poppy
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    The flower looks like evening primrose to me, Oenothera biennis, but the leaves don't look quite right. 
    The flower also looks a bit like Californian poppy, but again, leaves not quite right...

    I wondered if it could be a yellow horned poppy not totally sure regarding the leaves. Also wondered about Oenothera but there are so many I am unable to help.

  • It’s growing where I have spread horse manure.  I am wondering if it’s a type of yellow clover

    No it’s not a clover or any of the legumes. It’s not a forage crop that I recognise.
