Carol Klein TV programme

B3B3 Posts: 27,505
Did anyone see the Gardening with Carol Klein ( I think that's what it is called) programme in one of the Channel 5s yesterday?
It was really informative. A proper how to gardening programme. Minimal 4 legged friends and a smart new hairdo.
In London. Keen but lazy.

Is it a new series? I've seen the last series. No TV last night. We went to Henry V screened from the National Theatre, disappointing, too modern and messed about with.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I don't know. I didn't see the last one so it's new to me anyway.😊

I saw bits of it and generally liked it.  Both her cat and dog did make appearances and I was uncomfortable with thoughts of what the cat might do once she moved away from the raised bed she was preparing.

I watched series 1 in the run-up to this and she's repeating a lot of the content.

    I still enjoyed it though.....

It's spring so many of the jobs are the same each year but she does give clear explanations so that's OK.

Oh I get that.  I guess it's the same with GW and Monty's bl**dy tomatoes and pumpkins :D

At least Monty seems to have stopped having lengthy segments each Spring and Autumn explaining what you should do with your Banana plants, and annual detailed explanations of pruning grapes!
  • I've recently discovered the Carol Klein prog (have just watched all the old episodes after seeing a recommendation on this forum and started the new series this evening). I absolutely love it. As B3 said, a proper how-to programme, but also lots of planting ideas and useful tips. None of the bits I always forward on GW because I find them boring (viewers gardens etc or sometimes anything except Monty!)
