Hubby has just come home with this photo of a plant growing in the surrounding fields around here. Apparently it was about 8-10 inches tall and there were lots of them amongst the grass. Does anyone know what it is? The flower reminds me of geraniums a bit. Many thanks.

It's a glorious site at this time of year in areas it colonises - often ones which need a bit of a lift like the side of motorways and 'middle of road' verges
