Anyone know what this yellow headed plant is?

in Plants
I was driving through the villiage of Thurcroft yesterday, and these bright yellow flowers caught my attention. I think mainly because the heads looked a decent size. They seem to be low growing. I turned around and drove back, and got out and took some photos. I feel sure there will be someone on here that can identify them. I don't think I captured any or much of the foliage.

That large photo of the yellow one is good and clear. The price of the bulbs is reasonable The £8.45 shipping cost if you only buy 10 bulbs may be considered a bit expensive . Swings & roundabouts I guess. 30 would cost £18 with shipping, so that would only equate to 60p per bulb. OK if sharing with someone maybe. I would be willing to pay the 18 quid, but unsure if I have an appropriate place for 30 bulbs. Bulbs per se are good value 'plants'. I will certainly get some, if not from here then somewhere else-I like them a lot.
They are available now. Isn't there a high risk of them turning to mush hanging on to them until the planting time?
