What to do with aphids ?

  • Some friend have suggested washing up liquid diluted down into a bottle spray. Anyone herd this solution ?

    You only need a tiny drop of it in a bottle, but water alone is just as good.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    As has been said, use just a jet of water from a hose, then you won’t harm the good guys. Even soap and washing up liquid can harm ladybird larvae 🐞 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    This has long confused me. If greenfly are swished off a plant with a jet of water, what stops them climbing or flying back to where they were?

    If you do it thoroughly enough, many get squished. Most get too damaged to survive it.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Which type of wildlife do you care for?
  • Badger, foxes etc. Used to do full time but got very expensive and exhausting during the summer months.
