Snapdragons - are they really animal resistant?

  • @Fire -- re snapdragons - I only had/have yellow ones which were left totally untouched by slugs. French Marigolds  (tagetes patula ) various kinds on orange yellow spectrum in differing intensities were decimated, so must be something beyond the colour.

    @B3 , can't say i've ever tried , but i believe snapdragons are technically edible ( although my experience is that edible flowers -- nasturtiums / heartsease etc are usually better as a decorative garnish than a main ingredient)
