Best weedkiller for bindweed?

Wouldn’t normally use it and while I’m happy to try and tackle it organically in the border, there’s an section down the side of the house that I’d rather just spray and be done with, there’s nothing growing down there other than weeds, nothing flowering so hopefully minimal risks to any critters!

Rather than potentially having to buy a few different ones I was hoping someone might have one they’ve had success with previously!

I used Roundup next door last summer and it hasn't come back as yet (although I'm under no illusions that it won't at some point).

I stuck some canes in the ground for it to wind up and then laid it down on the floor and blasted it all.

Glyphosate is the only thing that will translocate down into the really deep roots.

I had difficulty finding any recently, looks like some GC's have withdrawn it from sale much to my annoyance. The one I've just bought is based on pelargonium extract I believe.

Thanks @TheGreenMan, unfortunately we don't have any Wilko's round here. I stocked up with loads when the EU said they were going to ban it but have now ran out.

I'm probably in the minority but I'm glad glyphosate (Roundup) has been banned.

@TheGreenMan do you know which one? I had a look in wilkos a few weeks ago and was way overwhelmed by the amount they had!!

Thank you! Will pop to wilko tomorrow afternoon.

I can see me ending up applying it to the bindweed in the borders with a paintbrush or something to avoid the other plants. Can’t believe how much is coming up given that I dug it over and removed all roots I could find even the tiny bits, must have been completely infested!! A lot is also coming up from the neighbours side

    Oh it fights back!

This time last year next door’s back garden was full of it.

I’ve just had a look and, so far, none.

I must have gone in there to fight with it a couple of times a month over summer.

I sat one day and unfurled it from a poor fern which was being strangled by it.
