    I've pivoted your pics.

Maybe the reason why your plastic pots tend to lean forward is that they are made of a too "soft" material?
When I set out to create a fern wall in my garden, I also hanged the pots on a treillis similar to yours. But I couldn't find suitable pots in my GCs so asked my "potter in residence" wife to make "bespoke" clay pots. ;)
I was also confonted with the problem of those pots leaning forward. You can read the whole story on my garden site here: https://www.rezeau.org/wp-garden/en/the-fern-wall/
  • Yeah that’s from bq, made of plastic, so not great quality

in the page you mention you used cleats as a temporary solution, this might work for me… do you have a link to what you used and where can I buy them?

There looks like a good sunny border under your trellis.  While those pots may work for small plants, you're not really going to utilise the full potential of that growing space with them.  Have you considered a flowering climber in the border (or a large planter) to cover the trellis? You could get colour and scent for a good part of the year with just a single climber.

I think the problem is more the size of the 'hook' than anything else. It's very wide.
It would fit neatly round a 3 inch pole by the look of it, rather than trellis   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Yep, I have a honeysuckle next to it, but I prefer to have smaller pots there. I will put more pots eventually

They are actually sold as "balcony pots" to hang on the railing of a balcony, hence the wide hook - well spotted @Fairygirl!  Here's the description:

I must say I totally disagree with this commercial blurb. Not my notion of "elegance".
    ;)
    But... each to their own.

The little baskets, hay racks or troughs with the flat backs are probably a better solution for trellis or walls. They're also bigger, so more scope for planting. I've used them on fences too. Couple of screws into the support and then you hang them on it.
You can get them in heavy duty plastic in various outlets.  :)

I did something cheap and easy… I added a small pot between the trellis and the pot and it works!
