Does anyone know what this is? It's coming up all over the place in my neighbour's garden.Difficult to tell from the photos but it's about 2 inches wide and an inch high at the moment.  Many thanks

Do you think so punkdoc?  These leaves are more rounded and meaty than Enchanters Nightshade but they are new so perhaps the emerging leaves are different?

Certainly looks like mine. I have been trying to get rid of it for years, a thankless task, with no end in site.

Thanks punkdoc.  I have a friend who definitely has enchanters nightshade because I've seen it later in the year.  I'll pop round and see what the emerging shoots look like at the moment.  Thanks for your help.

Oh heavens Silver surfer, you and punkdoc are right.  Your second picture matches the leaves exactly.  I'll let my friend know.
