Aquilegia discolouration. What is causing this? Should I destroy the plants? Is there any treatment?

Destroy them. It's a form of downy mildew

The link seems to go to home page but there's good information on the site

Thanks both for your comments. That's really helpful.  I will remove and destroy. There are some healthy plants growing in the garden , should I remove them too?

No . Just the ones that have symptoms.  Try to practise hygiene which might help, but the spores are wind borne. I'm not losing so many now as I used to.Maybe resistant plants are developing.  Mine are all self seeded. I'm not sure how it is with sown seeds with regard to resistance
