Cherry tree help

Hi, I bought a cherry tree for a small courtyard garden based on the label which said it was self pollinating and grew up to 1.5m, however googling "merchant" it is not self pollinating and grows up to 4m. Is there any chance that there is a variety that meets the label criteria? I can't find a reference to a self pollinating or small merchant cherry, thanks dvance

    It could be the right size that will depend on the rootstock, but no it is not self fertile
