Hi @alexemmersonuk I recently bought my first ever greenhouse and did quite a lot of research. I bought a Halls Cotswold Birdlip Greenhouse with toughened glass with a black powder coated finish. They come in black, green or plain aluminium.
I had a concrete base laid beforehand and the greenhouse comes with bolts which are fixed into the concrete and it is extremely secure. I paid to have some extras, an automatic opening window, some Louvre vents and a water butt.
I’m extremely pleased with it although it took my husband about 6 days to put up and he’s very handy being an engineer with loads of tools etc. I can’t imagine how lots of people manage it!!
I’ve attached a photo ( sorry it’s sideways) of it looking all new and empty 😂 Good luck in your search.
I've got a green 8 by 6 Greenhouse people Safety glass,2 auto roof openers and a manual Louvre opposite the door, looks similar to the one above. We inherited a couple of Halls 6 by 4,lean to,and 6 by 8.bought another 6by 4lean to recently. Because of trees there was no where to site one bigger one. There are advantages though, depending on crops and temperature required. Plenty of figs and grapes you can grow outside. We have citrus.lemons, grapefruit overwinter in greenhouse. Oranges are much more tender they stay in the conservatory. Get the biggest you can afford and accomodate. They are on their own metal base,3on slabs, one on shingle.
