@Woodgreen I have also visited  the garden at Ashwood nurseries it is lovely in every season. I visited in spring and did get a chance to see the greenhouse full of Hepaticas. The Hellebores were the stars and it is a place I will always remember.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

I bought three Hepatica nobilis from Bluebell nursery the year before last and planted them in a woodlandy bit (where I've got hellebores, pulsatilla and wood anemones) and at first thought they wouldn't do much, they looked so tiny and fragile.  Last year when I was rootling around in that area I accidentally dug one up, but this spring the other two have come into their own - I would definitely like some more.
Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.
