What is wrong with broccoli

Planted these on Thursday and wondering what the markings are...is it still ok

    Do you have very hard water by any chance, or put soluble fertiliser in the water when you watered them in?  There are similar marks on the container so I suspect it's not a disease.

    Yes we have hard water in Cambridge and I put tomato feed in the water

    That’s what it is. No harm done … except that tomato feed encourages flowering and fruiting and you don’t want your broccoli to flower until next spring … so don’t use it again.

    It’s not dead … but don’t feed it … at least, not until you’ve told us what it’s planted in and we’ve told you whether it needs feeding or not, and what with.

    Planted in all purpose compost

    The marks can be avoided by taking the rose off the watering can and watering the compost/soil at the base of the plant (that's the best way for pretty much everything).

    Ok, all purpose compost should have enough nutrition in it for at least six weeks. No need to feed your plants until then. 👍

    Many years ago we planted out seedlings.
    We waited for over 18 months and decided enough was enough as we had no crop.
    No idea why they took so long but we have not tried again.
