They can manage sun @katrinkemp , as long as they're feet are ok, but it's not the ideal site if you get a lot of very hot dry spells. The morning sun is more of a problem for the emerging flowers if they get a frost first. It's the defrosting that does the damage to buds or new flowers. You can certainly move them, but it's not an easy process with an established one, unless you're very careful. Autumn is easier, but even so, getting the rootball out without damage can take time. You can do the process of cutting a slit/ small trench round them, closer to the main trunk, and once the new roots take, you can remove them more easily, but that needs done over a long period of time. They showed how to do it on Beechgrove one year, but I don't know how easily it would be to find it. It was several years ago.
