Garden toad in a bucket, advice please

  • Thanks all for your replies.   Here's how the area is looking now.  I decanted the water into a wider bucket.  The frog wasn't in the bucket but ironically I saw the great diving beetle was alive and well!  Probably feasting on the frogspawn.

I've added drops of terrarium liquid that neutralizes the chlorine from tapwater.  There are also foxes, cats, birds that may drink from any water source in this garden but I gather this stuff won't harm them.

I also dropped in some vegetable-based frogspawn food which I found online, on the off-chance there are any still alive.

So it's a more frog-friendly garden for the future even if the one I saw has hopped off...

If you have lots of cover in the garden she probably hasn’t gone far. They spend most of their time out of water. When the summer is here she will probably use your mini pond to stay cool during the day, and either way there will be a multitude of other creatures that will benefit from it so big thumbs up!
