    I think you have a similar view to me @Papi Jo.  I agree fully with the two advantages that your link identifies!  (I did A level French but a "Translate" button appeared while I was reading your link!)

    I don't have a model lawn (esp since the advent of devildog) but a garden fork to aerate and plenty of grass seed to overseed the weak bits will do for me. Also some water now and then.
  • A scarifier/verticutter and feeding.
