Is this unusual two and three heads on my snake headed frittel

  I have plenty of doubles but I don't think I have seen a triple.

  I have doubles too occasionally but can't remember seeing three.

  During my walk round this morning I looked for doubles and notice there are more than usual in the orchard.

  But a long way from those I found three triple flowers and a double growing in isolation in a tight clump, possibly originating from one bulb.  Not an open border situation, it's a bit overgrown there, so I wonder if it's something which occurs in odd bulbs or is it due to climate and situation?
