Is this a carrot plant

Am hoping that these are not carrots..if they are.... gonna be very small 😁

    Could be Nigella, Love in a Mist. Do they smell carroty?

    Methinks @punkdoc is right - I have loads of these although the first leaf is one - a leaf. Could be carrot - prepare the grater for some salad!!
    A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

    Did your OH sow carrot seed there? If not, then probably they're not carrots. Nigella seems more likely.

    @darren hansen 134 I think they are Nigella seedlings too. The are about the size you would expect at this time of year.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    I have similar seedlings in my garden which have self seeded.  Last year I planted wilko's white flowers mix which had a few odd blue flowers.  I have just looked up Nigella flowers, and I now know what these blue flowers were.  I guess I will be getting Nigella flowers this summer
