    Nope. I'm an atheist.

    You can celebrate spring return

My mum always made us wait until after Easter so she could buy them reduced 😂 That was back in the days when Woolies had walls of Easter eggs that'd be hanging around for a good week after. You don't get that anymore, they seem to be gone as soon as Easter is over 🤷‍♀️
    Put away for next year.

after the ridiculous over commercialism of christmas and halloween, it seems easter is next on the list.
    Devon.
  • @WhereAreMySecateurs The use by dates on our eggs range from June to September of this year. I'm sure they'd be alright after a year but I wouldn't like to risk it 😉

@pansyface There's been Easter eggs on the shelves round here since the day after Boxing Day.

Daffodils in the garden and everywhere else you look. Trees coming into leaf. The imminent return of the swifts. Perennials coming back to life.

    Nature’s own decorations for me.

My daughter does for the girls as she treasures marking occasions this way and even though the girls are now teenagers she will continue to do it.  And to invite the olds round for Sunday lunch.
They get loads of chocolate (daughter is a teacher - gets given it all the time by grateful parents) but we treat ourselves to handmade eggs and chocs from a local artisanal chocolatier. We will take a box of the 'English pudding' chocolates with us on Sunday.

I think it's lovely to mark the return of spring.

As a child, I used to make choc eggs with my mum, using moulds. I'd really like to try again.

I remember having Easter egg decorating competitions at primary school.

We had to use real eggs.

I remember making a vase with flowers in it one year out of the egg and plastercine and straws! 😂

    Happy days.
  • @fire nice little article. When I ran the preschool, we used to take great pleasure in teaching the kids about the "real" meaning of Easter 🐰
