My mum always made us wait until after Easter so she could buy them reduced 😂 That was back in the days when Woolies had walls of Easter eggs that'd be hanging around for a good week after. You don't get that anymore, they seem to be gone as soon as Easter is over 🤷♀️
@WhereAreMySecateurs The use by dates on our eggs range from June to September of this year. I'm sure they'd be alright after a year but I wouldn't like to risk it 😉
@pansyface There's been Easter eggs on the shelves round here since the day after Boxing Day.
My daughter does for the girls as she treasures marking occasions this way and even though the girls are now teenagers she will continue to do it. And to invite the olds round for Sunday lunch. They get loads of chocolate (daughter is a teacher - gets given it all the time by grateful parents) but we treat ourselves to handmade eggs and chocs from a local artisanal chocolatier. We will take a box of the 'English pudding' chocolates with us on Sunday.

I think it's lovely to mark the return of spring.
Happy days.
