Tomatoes. Blight resistant next to non resistant

In the past I have grown Sungold and Crimson Crush in pots in a row  ... none of my tomatoes succumbed to blight that year.

I find sungold to be quite resistant as well.

Growing a non resistant plant near a resistant one will increase the chances of losing the lot. The plants are only resistant not immune, so if the non resistant one catches it and you don't remove it in time you add a lot of extra infection chances to the resistant one.
  • Thanks for the tip offs @REMF33.

  • @pr1mr0se I'm in the SW too. It's my first start of a growing year on an allotment. Fingers cross.

  • @Skandi that makes a lot of sense and I'm starting to get a sense of the risk and how blight works. Thanks.
