They look great. Personally, I would remove the brackets as they seem superfluous in this context.

    I agree. Brackets not needed.

    Looks fab. Better w/o parentheses

OK, many thanks everyone, you’ve all been a great help. No brackets and definitely no parentheses it is 😆

I started off this thread saying ‘I’m thinking of getting…’ Having just completed the artwork for 21 labels, a vague, indulgent whimsy has suddenly become a must-have purchase that I couldn’t possibly live without. Hmm, how did that happen?

The question is - how did you do that to me, Nollie? I am busily pondering font size. Lol
I think aluminium hanging tags for me, though.

I think my garden (1907) has been owned by a stream of keen gardeners. I regularly find metal tags from 1992 with legible writing. Someone was very keen on snowdrops. I am mystified by what they wrote with that could stay on so long (it's not embossed or with regular pen). It might be pencil - but would it really survive 30 years of rain etc? Intriguing.

Sorry about that @Fire! Aluminium will look good too. Pencil lasting 30 years? That would be something, but would never have been legible in the first place if I’d written them!

Well, yes, I have that problem too. :D

Pencil becomes permanent on aluminium as this site describes  https://alitags.com/products-aluminium-tags-pencil.html. I bought some for my sister and she is dithering about which plants she will 'spend' permanent labels on. I considered the punch for myself but it would take an age. I like the letters in the box and the jig and think this sort of thing quite lovely. https://alitags.com/products-labelling-tools.html
