Red coreopsis suggestions

Robert WestRobert West Posts: 241
Hello,
I have three Coreopsis Big Bang Mercury Rising that I bought about five years ago. They do really well and I'd like to get some more. Sadly I can't find them in any of my local garden centres. I was wondering whether anyone could suggest other red coreopsis that might work as an alternative.

Over the years I've had lots of yellow ones and ones that were part yellow, part red but they've just never done as well and always seem to do badly the 2nd year or get damaged by winds. In comparison the red ones have always grown in lovely neat even clumps, survived winter really well and have been unaffected by winds. The stems just seem to be a bit 'softer' and grow from the ground, whereas the yellow ones seem to grow from the remains of older stems that then break.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!
