Rhubarb Mini-Beetles

We have a number of shiny green beetles, no more that a quarter of an inch long, that have appeared on our rhubarb leaves and seem to be feeding on them.  Does anyone know what they are, and if they're dangerous to the plant?

All sorts of insects feed on our rhubarb (as well as us and the neighbours), ... I can't imagine them making enough of an impact to affect an established plant.

There's about 4000 beetle species in the UK so a photo would help. The dock beetle is likely to be the culprit though https://www.naturespot.org.uk/species/green-dock-beetle If it's them and they're causing real damage then you can knock them off into a tray and transport them to somewhere that has a dock infestation where they can be very helpful little beasts.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Thank you both.  It looks as though you've provided the answer.  As for wild edges request for a photo, if I was clever enough to do that I'd be happy to oblige but......
