Trying to ID an early flowering shrub

  If you can ever get any of the ones named after Amerindian tribes, do so. All the ones we had in our last place were very  well scented. Especially one called Mohave.

  Not ever heard of Viburnum Mohave...nothing on www.

  The slightly salmony pink made me think it could be a type of viburnum lantana if not a carlesii

  Yes, sorry Mowhawk. Knew it began with an M. The national collection is quite close to us in Hamner, but the garden is not open to the public except rarely.
