Haws watering can dribbling problem

Has anyone here got the Haws Rowley Ripple watering can?

I recently purchased one for watering seedlings with its fine spray. However it dribbles quite badly as can be seen in the photo, this dribbling water lands heavily on the seedlings and could damage them.

Does anyone else's can do this?

    I don't have one, but to me that spray doesn't look very fine at all.
    The best thing I've tried for watering seedlings in trays is some cheap plastic nozzles that are meant to fit on water bottles. They don't fit water bottles but they do fit on some small trigger spray bottles that I got from Home Bargains or some such place.

    Edit: With my outdoor watering can I find that the spray is gentler (not finer of course) if I put the rose on facing upwards, but the curved shape of the spout on yours means that it's facing more forward than up.

    I have a very fine rose attachment for seedlings which works quite well, but interestingly - one of the tips on Beechgrove last night concerned this problem. Carole described starting a sweep of watering a couple of feet away, before you reach the seedlings [if that makes sense] so that it's flowing more consistently when you actually get to them. It's something I always did in the past, because I found that happened with a more standard rose.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    It's a brand new watering can, so hasn't;t been damaged, unless it's faulty?
    At first I thought the dribble was coming from gap in a seem between the upper and lower halves of the rose, but on inspection it instead appears water is running out of the holes in the rose and dribbling off.

    I suspect that the rose may be faulty.  If you bought it directly from Haws, I suggest you contact them, explain your problem and they should either issue a refund or a replacement.  If you bought it from a retailer, also contact them.  I hope you still have your receipt or proof of purchase! Very disappointing for you as they are renowned for quality and this should not happen.

    I suppose you could turn the rose up the other way but they're not cheap. I'd take it back.

    I agree with pansyfaces assessment and think it's had a dunt, yours certainly looks different to the sales picture.

    Exactly as @Fairygirl said,  and we were taught the method on the RHS course. 
     Make sure there is plenty of water in the can, start away from the seedlings then bring it over, and move away in one continuous move. The alternative is to put the seedling tray in another larger tray of water and allow the compost to soak the water up by capillary action.

    I've emailed Haws, and the online retailer Birstall who I purchased it from, hopefully one of them will send me either a replacement can, or a rose. hanks for the replies, and to pansy face for the diagrams, I'll use those if they play awkward.

    I wasn't sure if my description made sense @Allotment Boy! Yours is much better.
    I always found the ordinary heads leaked like that, so it was just something I found for myself that worked.  :)
    I agree that @LeadFarmer's can/rose looks off though.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    The retailer I purchased it from have replied, they don't stock the rose so have contacted Haws requesting they send me a new rose, and also hinted to them that they should perhaps send a complete new can. Fingers crossed.
