Most of mine have been bought in person - various places including garden centres and B&Q. My first ever one came from a stall at a plant fair at Sheffield botanic gardens - it's a strong pink, tough as old boots and was just labelled Salvia greggii but I think it's probably not the species. A few came from stands at shows, and I think I got one or two from Secret Gardening Club online when I was in a phase of ordering plants from them. Blue Merced came from Sarah Raven - it just fell into my online basket when I was looking for other things . So far this year I'm resisting temptation to even look. I don't think I need any more.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
I also buy salvias from Norfolk Herbs https://www.norfolkherbs.co.uk/plant-type/salvias/ They don't have many listed on their website as being available at the moment as they don't really get the stock moving until around the middle of May. You can ask to be notified when any varieties you're interested in are available. Edited to add l have just got on their website to see what's available and bought 2 salvias 😊
Salvia patens seems immune in my slug-infested garden. I would have thought S. uliginosa would be all right, too, because it’s a wet ground plant. (But then, so is Ligularia…)

Can I just second that. I've tried several types but always come back to Caradonna. It's a real do-er.
I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
