Tuscany Superb Rose

Whilst all of my other roses are showing signs of waking up my T.S rose is not putting out any new growth. It was planted as a bare root last Autumn at the same time as others that are doing much better. Should I be patient or dig it up and move it? tia

We inherited one and its always slow to wake up. Every year I wonder if it’s going to do anything, it’s looking very bare at the moment.

Gallicas are slow to grow new leaves. My 'Belle de Crécy' is always the last one to grow leaves.
  • I have ‘Alain Blanchard’ and at present it’s still fast asleep. I shouldn’t worry, the Gallicas always seem to be last into leaf. You’ll also find they take three years to develop a mature structure, but then nothing can beat them. Old-fashioned patience seems to be the key…

Thank you @Butterfly66 , @edhelka and @Cambridgerose12 for your replies, interesting fact about the Gallicas, I did wonder if it was to do with variety. I shall sit back and observe.
