Rhododendron - suitable for growing in front of Thuja??
We have a row of Thuja at the bottom of our garden and would like to plant some sort of a Rhododendron in front of it. Our soil is slightly on the acidic side and I would assume the Thuja needles will help. It would be facing South/West with no morning sun. Is this a good idea and if so can anyone recommend a particular Rhododendron? Many thanks.

There are hundred of varieties though, so it's hard to suggest any. The evergreen Japanese azaleas are also lovely, and more compact.
Start with the colour you like, and then take a look at some of the specialist growers. Glendoick, and Millais, are a good place to start.
