Houttuinya got frost bitten

My Houttuinya cordata was touched by frost last week when I was away - it is about two years old and in a terracotta pot.  The leaves have gone brown and soft.  Any chance it might revive this year still? Thanks

My understanding is that it’s virtually indestructible … I suspect it’ll be fine in a few weeks’ time.

@adamadamant Yes no need to worry I think it will be back stronger than ever.

Agree - it would take a lot to kill that off so you needn't worry :)

It's in a pot!  I learnt from someone else's experience!  Thanks all, glad it will come back it's a pretty little thing.  Signing off!

Oh heck will it?  I've only ever seen it spilling graciously over the top of a pot :D.  Thank you for the warning!

@adamadamant If it is in a pot it won't escape but if pot bound it can root into pavers below. Just don't be tempted to plant in the ground especially in damp soil
