Antirrhinum seedlings

Hi all,

I sowed some antirrhinum seeds on 08 Mar. They were in a heated propagator with gentle heat. Germination was good and they are off the heated prop and now under a grow light in the house, but almost a month later they are still tiny.

Should they be bigger by now? Do they need more heat? Grateful for any tips. Photo attached. Thanks so much.

They look fine. They start off really small. Be patient😉

Oh really? Ok I’ll cool my jets and let them do their thing in the seed tray. Thanks so much :)

Revisiting this thread. My seedlings did well! They were inside and I potted them up - kept them in under grow lights but when I took them out, they started to wilt. See pic.

Seems like they prefer being inside the house?! Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? They are well watered. Thanks.

I think they just need a bit of time … I wouldn’t be worried about them at this stage. 🤞

I’ve grown loads of these from seeds,  never had lights or propagator,  they need to toughen up, they could go outside somewhere warm now,  just bring the in at night until it gets warmer.   Under lights will make them weak.
They're hardy,  they come up every year for me,  an all round favourite, easy to grow and look after and really loved by the bees.

Thanks so much @Dovefromabove & @Lyn. I guess I’ve let them have it too easy!

Mine are flowering .Bunged them in 3 years ago when they were about 2 inches high and just left them. They’ve come again ever since. I suppose what I’m saying is don’t cosset them they’re really quite tough .
