Antirrhinum Rust Resistant Giant Mix Height

I'm growing lots of plants from seed, and starting to think about my planting plan. When it comes to the rust resistant giant snapdragons though I'm seeing major inconsistencies in the quoted height - some places seem to say 45cm, which seems to be a standard snapdragon height, whilst others say 90cm. I was wondering if anyone has grown these and how tall they've ended up?

    Doesn't look like it @YessicaHaircut :)
  • No, it doesn't.  :D Well, I'll have to try to remember to come back to the thread and report on how all my plants get in case someone else in future has the same query.

Not something I grow, but the problem with heights/spreads of plants is that the growing conditions can cause huge variation in them.
As they're named 'giant' and the standard height is usually around 18"- 2 feet, I'd assume they'll be a good bit bigger, and plant accordingly. If they're bigger or smaller, at least you'll know for future years!  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Yes, I think I'll go with the assumption that they'll be closer to the 90cm than 45cm and then I'll just have to wait and see. Thanks! :)

    I think that's probably the best idea @YessicaHaircut :)

  • An update in case anyone else is ever wondering the same. So far these seeds have produced beautiful, healthy snapdragons but with precisely no evidence of gigantism. If they have a growth spurt later in the season, I'll update!  :D
