Is my tree lily bulb alright?

Hi all, I planted my tree lily bulbs in a pot last year and they flowered well. I kept them in the pot in the greenhouse over the winter, and now plan to plant them out into the garden. One bulb seems to have produced a lot of bean sprout like shoots. Is it normal please? Thanks!

It has started to grow - most likely because you have had it protected in your GH.
If you think the weather is OK, you could plant now.  Otherwise, pot the bulb up and give it a bit longer before planting out.

Thanks! I didn't see growth like that last year so was not sure. I've planted them in the garden now. Hopefully frost will be no more in London after tonight....
